RMB MultiManager Fund wins International Award

The RMB Multimanager Global Diversified Fund has won the Hedge Funds Review's European Fund of Hedge Funds Award 2006 (the Best-Performing Diversified FoHF Over One Year On A Risk-Adjusted Basis category).

According to Louise Usher, Head of Asset Consulting at Momentum, "the Global Diversified Fund achieved a tremendous 13.5% over 12 months to October 2006 and 10.9% p.a. since inception with a standard deviation of 4.8%.

The objective of the Global Diversified Fund is to deliver long-term capital appreciation and above average risk-adjusted returns by investing in a diversified number of funds across a range of absolute return strategies, regardless of market conditions.  The fund has an allocation of approximately 50% to market neutral strategies, with the balance in the European, North American and Asian equity long/short strategies".

The fund was up against the following short listed funds:
- GAM Diversity II US$ Open
- American Express Alternative Investment Fund (Lux) Global Market-Neutral Moder - Dinvest Concentrated Opportunities Ltd
- Liongate Multi-Strategy Fund
- Santa Clara Holdings - Class A.

In addition, the RMBI European Equity Alpha-Plus Fund was also nominated for the Best-Performing Specialist FoHF Over Three Years On A Risk-Adjusted Basis category. The fund has delivered 22.2% over the last 12 months to October 2006 and 12.3% p.a. since inception. Performance numbers are stated net of all fees.
