Morning report (26.3)
24 March 2004 | Investments | General | Angelo Coppola
Local equities closed flat yesterday and February’s PPI held no surprise, reports Nico Kelder, economist at the Efficient Group.
The currency showed its strength and gained strongly against the majors, gaining almost 2-percent against the pound! Commodities closed mixed with platinum and oil closing lower.
European and US markets had a good day yesterday with gains in excess of 1.5%. Markets in the Far East are following this trend with the Nikkei gaining almost 2% so far.
We expect local equities to do well today.
