Liberty makes diversifying unit trust investments easy and affordable

Liberty, via its subsidiary Liberty Linked Investments Platform (Pty) Ltd, has unveiled the next exciting instalment in its ever-expanding investment offering. The Liberty GateWay Investment Plan allows investors to invest in a range of leading unit trusts.

David Lloyd, Managing Director of Liberty Investments says while at first glance the GateWay Investment Plan may look like just another unit trust platform, there is more to it than first meets the eye.

"It's the first platform to only offer clean, lowest cost unit trusts. Anything else is confusing and makes it harder to understand the true costs of investing. With the GateWay, there is no admin charge when you set up your investment and the more clients invest, the less they’ll pay for ongoing admin. What makes Liberty’s GateWay special is that every Rand sees the benefit of lower admin charges,” adds Lloyd.

The platform has been designed with accessibility, simplicity and affordability in mind. You can invest in the GateWay platform from R1 000 a month. The GateWay’s fast and simple investment process has stripped out much of the red tape that investors have become accustomed to.

”It’s easier and faster because investors are able to invest with multiple unit trust providers through GateWay rather than making the investment separately with each of those unit trust providers.

"GateWay was specifically designed with an understanding that, even for the most savvy investor, life still happens,” Lloyd explains, "which is why it includes a highly flexible monthly investment arrangement and allows investors to access all of their money at any time, penalty-free.”

The GateWay Platform and Liberty Evolve, launched in October last year, also work together. Being invested in Evolve means clients could pay less for the GateWay.

"There’s a reason we’ve called it the GateWay, Lloyd concludes, "and that’s because we believe it finally affords all South African investors an entry point into the world of diversified unit trust investments. With GateWay, regular South Africans and their advisers can now easily navigate the previously complex world of multiple unit trust investments and create an effective solution tailored to their unique goals, risk preferences and budgetary requirements.”
