Credo UCITS Funds celebrate successful 5-year track record

11 July 2022 | Investments | General | Credo

Credo is pleased to announce that the Credo Global Equity Fund and the Credo Dynamic Fund both celebrated their five-year anniversaries on 3 July 2022.

These UCITS funds were launched in July 2017 in order to provide investors with tax-efficient alternatives to Credo’s traditional managed portfolio services. Because of their lower investment thresholds, the funds allow smaller investors to invest with Credo, making them an ideal solution for retail investors as well as professional asset allocators. In addition, both the Credo Global Equity Fund and the Credo Dynamic Fund have been awarded a 4 Diamond rating by Defaqto, a leading funds rating agency.

The Credo Global Equity Fund is managed by the same equity investment professionals as Credo’s bespoke share portfolios and follows the same pragmatic approach to Value investing. Investors may participate in USD or GBP, gaining exposure to a high conviction pool of global, liquid and large-cap stocks. Demand for the product within South Africa led to the February 2020 launch of the BCI Credo Global Equity Feeder Fund, a ZAR-denominated local unit trust within South Africa.

The Credo Dynamic Fund is a flexible, GBP-denominated product whose mandate is to achieve long-term expected equity returns whilst reducing volatility. The fund has a sterling bias and tilts asset allocation in anticipation of, and reaction to, market events. The portfolio managers exploit their home market advantage to participate in smaller UK equity offerings, corporate bonds and alternatives such as investment trusts.

Louise Usher, Head of Credo in South Africa said: “We are proud that the funds have been 1st or 2nd quartile in all periods since inception. Fund flows have also been good, particularly into the BCI Credo Global Equity Feeder Fund which has had flows exceeding R600m since inception two years ago. We believe that Credo offers South Africans competitive, fairly priced and performing fund options. The five-year UCITS fund anniversaries represent just the latest milestone in helping South Africans achieve financial prosperity”.

The Credo UCITS funds are available across a number of leading and specialist investment platforms, as well as directly from Credo itself.

Credo is an independently owned wealth management services business established in the UK in 1998. Credo provides investment solutions and a wealth platform to both Financial Intermediaries and Private Clients, with more than £4.4bn assets under custody and £1.2bn assets under management. Credo has offices in the United Kingdom and South Africa.
