The Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa (FPI) has today announced the resignation of the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Godfrey Nti with immediate effect.

Following investigations into alleged examination fraud and possible maladministration by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), the Financial Planning Institute (FPI) announced on 5 July that it will not be conducting any FAIS examinations until further notice.

The Financial Planning Institute partners with the Hospice Palliative Care Association

The Financial Planning Institute (FPI) today, in celebration of Advanced Healthcare Planning Day, announced it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Hospice Palliative Care Association of South Africa (HPCA). The MOU seeks to reinforce FPI’s commitment to establish a close working relationship with HPCA to provide inter alia, financial planning education to HPCA staff members and the general public, and promotion of advanced healthcare education to financial planners and advisors.

When South Africa entered into a democracy in 1994, government aimed to address the issue of inequality. In 2012, the country released its National Development Plan (NDP) which outlined goals that the country hoped to achieve by 2030 to resolve this issue.
