FPI 2013 Financial Planner of the Year Entries Open
The Financial Planning Institute (FPI) has officially opened its call for entries for the 2013 Financial Planner of the Year competition. The competition recognises and honours top financial planners across South Africa.
The independent panel of judges comprises of industry experts, academics and FPI Board members who participate in each round.
Godfrey Nti, FPI CEO said: “The FPI Financial Planner of the Year Award is the highest accolade a professional financial planner can obtain. The adjudication process starts with the completion of an entry form and submission of portfolio of evidence; this is followed by a site visit and panel interview in which entrants must qualify to go through to each round.”
Jan Carel Botha, CFP®, 2012 FPI Financial Planner of the Year commented: “When building your practice, clients need to trust in your ability. The award leads to better quality new business, while anchoring your existing clients, who as a result gain more confidence in you as a result. The award helps to expand your network with industry leaders and learning from them by engaging on various platforms has been very valuable.”
The finalists and overall winner will be announced at the FPI Annual Convention in June. The winner will serve as the FPI and CFP® professional brand ambassador, respectively. Some of the benefits will include PR activities and international travel to financial planning conferences of choice.
“The transparency and rigidity of the awards process the FPI follows in deciding the winner of the Financial Planner of the Year award is guaranteed to produce some of the best CFP® professionals the industry has to offer. We are looking forward to announcing this year’s winner.” added Nti.
The closing date for entries is Friday, 22 February 2013.
