The Financial Intermediaries Association 2010 Awards gala banquet was held at Emperors Palace on 3 June 2010. Key personnel from various financial services providers, regulators, ombudsmen and representative bodies mingled with dozens of dedicated financial services intermediaries to celebrate excellence in the insurance industry.
Each year FIA members are asked to rate insurers with whom they have a minimum 12-month relationship with regard to product quality, service quality, relationship quality and overall satisfaction. The FIA 2010 Awards recognise South Africa’s top financial services product providers, those insurers who meet the rigorous standards demanded of them by financial services intermediaries.
Extensive research conducted in 2010
The fact finding behind the FIA 2010 Awards presentation is the most extensive yet. Bluestream Research employed classic research methodology to gather information via an extensive CATI telephonic survey. A total of 6 146 insurance contracts were rated by FIA members through 2 710 in-depth telephonic interviews. The survey findings provide valuable insight into South Africa’s product provider landscape and helped to single out the following companies as the top performing insurance industry product providers (based on intermediary satisfaction) in 2010.

CIA (supported by Compass): Underwriting Manager of the Year
