Gibbens is no stranger to Santam’s more than 5 000 brokers.
He’s been with the short-term insurer for the past 12 years, during which time he worked in various areas of the business, including claims, marketing and specialist risk solutions.
He also spent a year at Munich Re Germany where he gained valuable knowledge about the reinsurance industry and international markets.
