Moonstone: Training Credits - Final Date for Registration is 9 October 2009

11 September 2009 | | Moonstone

Our training division is inundated with enquiries from learners who were appointed before 31 December 2007 and still have to acquire at least the minimum number of skills credits before 31 December 2009 to be able to continue doing business next year. If you register now, you may still be able to do so.

We currently offer two courses which can address this need, both of which lead to a full qualification, which is what the FSB will eventually require.

  1. Learners only wishing to obtain Short-term skills credits can register for the FETC: Short Term Insurance (150 Credits – Level 4) SAQA Qualification ID: 44929. In layman’s terms this refers to a “Further Education and Training certificate” which will eventually give successful learners 150 credits at level 4, but can be used to obtain the required 30 or 60 credits before the end of the year. Please click here to download the Application and Registration forms. You have to complete both.
  2. The National Certificate in Financial Services: Wealth management (120 Credits –Level 5) SAQA Qualification ID: 57608 offer all learners, including short-term and healthcare brokers, the opportunity to obtain the minimum number of skills credits before the end of the year at level 5. This is particularly appropriate for those who market a variety of products, and can also lead to a full qualification.
  3. Please click here to download the Application and Registration forms. You have to complete both.
If you have put off obtaining the required credits, it would be wise to act now; procrastination can be the thief of more than just time.
