Moonstone: RE Deadline Dates now Official

Board Notice 61 of 2012 formalised the final dates by which registered FSPs have to write the regulatory exams, as well as the final dates for those who write, but do not pass by the first date.

The following table is copied from the Board Notice:

 

The “discrepancies” between the FAIS circular 7 of 2011 dates and later publications have now

There are only 10 weeks left in which to write. We urge those who have not yet registered, to please do so at their earliest convenience. It is most unlikely that any further extensions will be granted.

Appointments after June 2010

Another frequent question concerns new entrants to the industry. Those people newly appointed to the industry in July 2010 and thereafter have two years in which to write the REs.
