The latest circular from the Regulator deals specifically with questions raised about preparing for the regulatory examinations. Please click here to download the circular. It touches again on the qualifying criteria which, as we stated before, is really the syllabus of the regulatory examinations.
Another very useful piece of advice I picked up in a response from the FSB to an enquiry from an FSP was that an updated version of the FAIS Act is available on Sabinet.
FINANCIAL ADVISORY AND INTERMEDIARY SERVICES ACT 37 OF 2002 (FAIS ACT)
My understanding is that this version already has the amendments built in, which means that you do not have to keep referring to various board notices containing amendments to the original Act.
