Registrar Approves Resolution Health's 2007 Benefits
The Registrar of Medical Schemes has officially approved Resolution Health's benefit options and premium increases for 2007 which were announced in October
This ranks Resolution Healths four benefit options amongst the 59% of total open medical scheme options that have been approved by the registrar and the Council for Medical Schemes for 2007. Resolution Health has over 42,000 principal members and more than 100,000 beneficiaries on its books.
"The registrar has registered all of our rules, our benefits options and our premium increases which average 9.4% across our options which is below the industry average," said Jannie Kotze, Resolution Healths CEO.
In addition to holding its average premium increases below the industry average, Resolution Health has also implemented benefits enhancements across its options - these include maternity, optometry, dental and primary health care.
Before giving registration approval on an annual basis, the registrar takes various factors into account including the design of benefit options and the rate of premium increases being charge to medical scheme members.
"Resolution Health is committed to giving all its members, and prospective members, access to affordable health care and innovative products that cater for the wide range of income brackets in South Africa," said Kotze.
