Fedhealth placed tops in ThinkMoney survey

21 October 2010 | Healthcare | Medical Schemes | Fedhealth

Fedhealth, South Africa's fourth largest medical scheme, took home the honours of being rated as having the best overall service, in a recent survey conducted by ThinkMoney.co.za.

Over the past two and a half years, ThinkMoney.co.za subscribers have been leaving their feedback on what they think about their own medical aid schemes. ThinkMoney.co.za is an entirely independently owned and run site with comparisons that are 100% unbiased.

In this particular survey, the twelve most popular medical aids were revealed based on subscribers comments and Fedhealth came in at the top, scoring 3.99 out of 5 for service. This score was made up of a combination of the best service, best payouts process and best level of cover for your money.

Katy Caldis, CEO and Principal Officer of Fedhealth, says Fedhealth is thrilled with this result. "The cherry on top was the 76 percent of our members who claimed they would recommend Fedhealth to friends and family.

These survey results attest to the fact that we place great emphasis on ensuring our members receive the best service possible," she adds.

"We hope that these results will reinforce to the public that now is the time to really consider their alternatives when choosing a medical scheme carefully. Unlike a life insurance that only pays out once, your relationship with your medical scheme is far more intimate. Having concerns dealt with timeously, receiving professional advice and knowing claims will be dealt with efficiently is critical.

We will continue to work hard at keeping our service at a high standard and ensuring that we are really there for our members when they need us most,"

she concludes.
