CMS: Bestmed Medical Scheme and SAPPI Medical Aid Scheme want to merge

Bestmed Medical Scheme and SAPPI Medical Aid Scheme intend to merge with effect from 1 April 2013.

The Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) hereby gives notice in terms of Section 63(4) of the Medical Schemes Act 131 of 1998

that the exposition document and supporting documents of Bestmed Medical Scheme and SAPPI Medical Aid Scheme will lie

open for inspection and comments from 30 November 2012 to 20 December 2012 and again from 21 December 2012 to 10

January 2013 at the following premises:

1. the Office of the Registrar of Medical Schemes, Council for Medical Schemes (CMS), Block E, Hadefields Office

Park, 1267 Pretorius Street, Hatfield, Pretoria;

2. Bestmed Medical Scheme, Block A, Glenfield Office Park, 361 Oberon Avenue, Faerie Glen, Pretoria; and

3. SAPPI Medical Aid Scheme, 101 De Korte Steet, Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

Alternatively, the documents are available on the respective schemes’ websites: www.bestmed.co.za and www.sappima.co.za.

Anyone with objections to the abovementioned transaction may lodge their objection in writing to:
