Circular 40 of 2020: Proposed amalgamation between Sizwe Medical Fund and Hosmed Medical Aid Scheme effective 1 August 2020

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 63(4) and (5) of the Medical Schemes Act (131 of 1998) regarding the proposed amalgamation of Sizwe Medical Fund and Hosmed Medical Aid Scheme.

The exposition and supporting documents of the proposed merger between the two schemes will remain open for inspection for 21 days from 27 May to 25 June 2020 and for a further 21 days from 26 June to 24 July 2020 for the submission of comments or objections at:

1. The Office of the Registrar of Medical Schemes, Council for Medical Schemes (CMS), Block A, Eco Glades 2 Office Park, 420 Witch-Hazel Avenue, Eco Park, Centurion 0157;

2. Sizwe Medical Fund, Fourth Floor, One Sturdee Building, 1 Sturdee Avenue, Rosebank, 2107; and

3. Hosmed Medical Aid Scheme, 3 Victoria Link, Route 21 Corporate Park, Irene, 0178.
