Quality of care in medical schemes during the financial years 2015 and 2014

09 November 2016 | Healthcare | General | CMS

The Council for Medical Schemes through the Research & Monitoring unit undertook a study to determine the quality of care provided to beneficiaries in the medical schemes environment. Quality of care of beneficiaries is of vital importance as it affects member experience and potentially has long term cost implications for medical schemes.

This study is limited to 8 of the 25 chronic disease list (CDL) and HIV. Future reports on quality of care provided to beneficiaries will include more CDL conditions as well as other conditions that will be deemed appropriate. For more information on this study please click here.
