SA Economic Outlook 2021

PwC Strategy& economists released their SA Economic Outlook 2021 report today. The report includes analysis and forecasts for the recovery of the SA economy for 2021. The report includes economic growth scenarios, the impact of industries and businesses, monthly lockdown assumptions, the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination programme, as well as employment trends with a focus on job losses, retrenchments and recovery of jobs.

The report also provides a snapshot of how Budget 2021 can help the economic recovery, namely how the government can reduce uncertainty and boost business confidence, as well as supporting household income and consumer sentiment.
