Standard Bank Business Online offers eFiling service.

Standard Bank’sonline business service, Business Online, now includes eFiling, a secure electronic tax return and submission service offered by the South African Revenue Service (SARS).

Says Magnus Taljaard, director of Business Online: “eFiling allows customers not only to submit their tax returns via the Internet, but, in conjunction with our online banking service, to also make secure tax payments online.”

eFiling, available from the bank’s website, means that taxpayers can submit their tax returns and payments quickly and taxpayers can also access various useful reports, tax calculators, tax documentation and other business documents.

eFiling facilitates the online submission of forms and related payments for value added tax (VAT), Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE), Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), Skills Development Levy (SDL), provisional tax (IRP6), requests for extensions and for tax directives. Its benefits include:

* the ability to view all form-related correspondence with SARS;

* full payment and forms submission history online;

* due date reminders via e-mail

* tax forms and payment tracking;

* online confirmation of all transactions;

* requests for extensions; and

* requests for tax directives.
