As at 15 November 2004, 14 611 applications for licences have been submitted (approximately 700 of which were received after 30 September 2004).
Gerry Anderson at the FSB reports that of these 5 459 were submitted directly to the FSB and 9 152 to the various recognised bodies.
To date 5 413 applications have been finalised and a further large number nearing the finalisation stage.
“You may recall that our early estimates of the number of licences that were expected to be issued was between 12 000 and 20 000.”
