FSB warns the public against Invest Acquired Holdings

20 October 2016 FSB

The Financial Services Board (FSB) would like to warn the public to act with caution when dealing with Invest Acquired Holdings. Invest Acquired Holdings is not authorised in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002 (“FAIS Act”), to render any financial advice and intermediary services.

The FSB received information that Invest Acquired Holdings purports to be an authorised Financial Services Provider (“FSP”) with an FSP number 43259. The said FSP number belongs to Pal Life CC, an authorised Financial Services Provider, who has confirmed that they do not have, nor have they ever had any relation with Invest Acquired Holdings. It is the FSB’s view that the abovementioned entity is misrepresenting itself to the members of the public as an authorised financial services provider whereas it is not.

The FSB again reminds consumers who wish to conduct financial services with an institution or person to check beforehand with the FSB on either the toll free number (0800 110 443) or on the website www.fsb.co.za as to whether or not such institution or person is authorised to render financial services.
