FSB finalising fsp licence applications
Financial Services Board (FSB) deputy executive officer for Market Conduct and Consumer Education, Gerry Anderson says steady progress is being maintained in finalising applications received from Financial Services Providers (FSPs) for authorisation.
To date the FSB has finalised 14 950 (previously 14572) applications.
In total, 975 of these applications have been declined. Previously, the FSB had reported that 888 applications had been declined. FSPs whose applications had been unsuccessful are entitled to appeal to the FSB Appeal Board, an independent tribunal, if the applicant is dissatisfied with the Registrars decision. Two applications that had previously been declined have been reversed, namely:

2. FSP 11678 Basil Zukile Joka trading as Joka Johannesburg, Gauteng
