FSB certified

26 January 2004 Angelo Coppola

The Financial Services Board (FSB) has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS), saying customer satisfaction will be the main focus in its quest for service excellence.

FSB executive officer Jeff Van Rooyen says the certification takes the organisation a step further in its quest for delivering a effective and efficient supervisory and advisory service.

"The FSB's mission is to ensure fair treatment of users and providers of financial products and services in South Africa. To realise this mission, we need a systematic and visible form of management.

"Successful management in turn is achieved through implementing and maintaining a quality management system that complies with the quality assurance principles of SABS ISO 9001: 2000," he says.
