Fais licence applications / declines

Financial Services Board (FSB) deputy executive officer for Market Conduct and Consumer Education, Gerry Anderson says that steady progress is continuing to be maintained in the finalisation of applications received from Financial Services Providers (FSPs) for authorisation.

To date the FSB has finalised 15 459 (previously 15 196) applications.

In total, 1 050 of these applications have been declined (previously 1 004). 

Two applications that had previously been declined, have been reversed.  These are:

FSP 8455 - Shunmugam Govindasamy trading as SGP Insurance Brokers (Springs, Gauteng)
FSP 24785 - Chartwell Capital Group (Pty) Ltd (Melrose Estate, Johannesburg, Gauteng)
