PPS refurbishes South Africa’s higher learning institutions

13 August 2008 PPS Insurance Company Limited

When it comes to education, training and development, PPS, the only insurance company that caters exclusively for graduate professionals, strongly believes in supporting institutions of higher learning.

According to Mike Jackson (pictured), CEO of PPS, the company is aware of the financial constraints that many of these institutions operate under. It also understands the importance of maintaining or upgrading campus facilities and areas, in order to improve amenities for students.

This year PPS Insurance made six refurbishment sponsorships to our local universities, in support of contributing towards promoting a vibrant student growth and discovery; as well as a healthy community. In total, PPS Insurance granted R1million in refurbishment sponsorships to universities in South Africa, for 2008, including the University of Cape Town, University of Western Cape, Stellenbosch University, University of KwaZulu-Natal, University of Limpopo and University of Pretoria.

Higher learning institutions throughout South Africa can now apply for the 2009 PPS refurbishment sponsorships by downloading an application form from www.pps.co.za (Social Investment section), and submitting before 31 October 2008.
