Kieyam Gamieldien appointed as Managing Director (MD) for Old Mutual Multi-Managers

Old Mutual Wealth today announced the appointment of Kieyam Gamieldien as the Managing Director of Old Mutual Multi-Managers effective 1 April 2023.

He joins the business from Old Mutual Investment Group (OMIG) where he was the head of the Customised Solutions Investment Capability (investments under management of R170 billion), and was responsible for elevating the value proposition of quantitative investment styles. He was also the Chair of the Investment Committees. Under his leadership, the first active SA and Global ESG funds were launched as well as launching a securities lending desk.

Gamieldien is a qualified chartered accountant, seasoned strategist and investment professional, having spent approximately 15 years in the Old Mutual stable. He has served as Head of Guaranteed Investment Products and General Manager for Product Solutions, and was accountable for investment strategies and asset allocation of all with-profit funds. Gamieldien worked closely with the Corporate business and was responsible for strategy and the development of smooth bonus, structured and annuity products.

Trevor Pascoe, the outgoing MD of the Multi-Manager, will assume responsibility for Product, Proposition and Platforms across the Old Mutual Wealth business.
