Old Mutual announced the early retirement of Raimund Snyders, Chief Executive Officer of Old Mutual Insure, from the end of 2017. Snyders, who has been with the Old Mutual Group since 1990, has been the Chief Executive Officer of Old Mutual Insure (previously known as Mutual & Federal) for the past four years.

Moyo said, “Raimund has played an invaluable leadership role in our business over almost 30 years. Through his guidance and commitment, we have now successfully rebranded our short-term insurance operation and created a strong executive team that has built a diversified business. We are grateful for the significant contribution he has made to Old Mutual and wish him well for the road ahead.

”Old Mutual Insure is well-positioned to leverage the partnerships that it has formed to be a leading insurer in South Africa and to support Old Mutual as it continues to become the financial services champion across the continent.

A process to find a suitable successor is underway and an announcement will be made in due course.
