Mutual & Federal – Running for charity in Botswana

The inaugural Phakalane Gaborone Marathon, which took place on 18 April 2010, saw around 4 500 runners take to the streets of Gaborone, Botswana. One of southern Africa’s leading short-term insurers, Mutual & Federal, supported the event by providing the Broadform Insurance Liability cover needed for the occasion.

Jack Bekker the managing director of Mutual & Federal Botswana says, “This marathon is about running for charity and strengthens the values of Botswana culture. Mutual & Federal was eager to provide the insurance cover to give organisers and participants the peace of mind they needed.
