Mutual & Federal announces a change in leadership
Mark Weston, Executive: Commercial Lines & rest of Africa will be returning to Nedbank after his secondment period.
Mutual & Federal, South Africa’s oldest insurer, has announced a change to its leadership structure on Tuesday, 8 December in Johannesburg.
The insurer announced that Mark Weston, Executive: Commercial Lines & rest of Africa, will be returning to Nedbank after his secondment period concludes in July 2016.
Raimund Snyders, Mutual & Federal CEO, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mark for the progress that Commercial Lines, Distribution and rest of Africa have delivered under his capable leadership. He will be handing over the reins with the business in better shape than what it was when he took on the leadership role.”
According to Raimund, Coenraad de Jager, the current Executive for Personal Lines, will take on added responsibilities for Commercial Lines and Distribution, with effect 1 January 2016. He said: “It is great to have someone with Coenraad’s extensive experience of the insurance industry in our business; I am confident he will be able to build on the foundation that the Commercial lines and Distribution team has laid over the past two years, as they now move towards growing our market share.”
The insurer also stated that it will commence the process to identify an Executive for rest of Africa accountability during the first half of 2016 and will make an announcement in this regard, in due course.
