Cape Town clients to benefit from yet another Mutual & Federal Multi-purpose centre

Sedick Isaacs, Executive General Manager for Claims at Mutual & Federal.

Mutual & Federal, a member of the Old Mutual Group, officially opened its new Multi-purpose Centre in Claremont to cater for the needs of clients in the southern suburbs of Cape Town.

The opening of this centre, which is located next to Stadium on Main, was a historical moment for the short-term insurer, as it is the second facility of its kind to be opened in Cape Town and also the ninth in South Africa. The other seven establishments are located in the major centres around the country.

“Our customers are central to everything that we do and this newly built facility was opened to bring convenience to them”, says Sedick Isaacs, Executive General Manager for Claims at Mutual & Federal. “Our clients can have their vehicles assessed within 48-hours of lodging a claim and an assessment does not last longer than 45 minutes”, he continues.

The Claremont Multi-purpose Centre is a collaboration between Mutual & Federal and Reynolds Body Works, a wholly owned Black Economic Empowerment company that specialises in auto-body repair work.

As with our other Multi-purpose Centres, personal and commercial policyholders can have their vehicles assessed and cosmetic repairs done at this centre. However, in the event of substantial or any other damage to their vehicles, the customer will still be able to choose from a list of Mutual & Federal approved auto-body repairers to whom they can take their vehicles for repairs.

“Our centre has been open for business since 28 March 2011”, explains Isaacs. “And we are encouraged by the positive response received so far.”

Mutual & Federal pioneered the concept of drive-in claims centres in the early 1990s to reflect its commitment to prompt and professional claims settlement. “Our focus is to become a more customer centric organisation and we are enhancing our service levels by turning all our drive-in claims Centres into Multi-purpose Centres where vehicles are assessed and all types of claims can be registered,” concludes Isaacs.
