Momentum Short-term Insurance shows exceptional claims processing performance

The Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance recently released his report on the industry for 2014 which revealed the rand value of complaints received in the industry to stand at more than R116 million, with more than 10 000 complaints received through the year taking an average of 89 days to resolve, with 52 of those remaining unresolved after 6 months.

Momentum Short-term Insurance is pleased to announce that they have done extremely well in terms of effectively resolving complaints per 1 000 claims and overturned ratio. For every 1 000 claims processed by Momentum Short-term Insurance, only two complaints were received by OSTI – in addition to this, Momentum Short Term Insurance also achieved an overturned rate of 24 percent which is 6.89 percentage points lower than the industry average.
