MMI Holdings Limited CEO Nicolaas Kruger has agreed to join South African CEO’s in the inaugural South African 702 Sun International CEO SleepOut.

With the aim to place a spotlight on the plight of South Africa’s homeless youth, South African CEO’s are pledging R100 000 and committing to spend a winter’s night outdoors at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in Sandton to experience what it is like to be homeless.

“My attention was drawn to this initiative following a mention on the 702 The Money Show where it was suggested that I should join the other CEO’s who had accepted the challenge. I think it is a great opportunity not only to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Town but to take myself out of my comfort zone and try and walk in someone else’s shoes for a short while,” says Kruger.

Nicolaas Kruger has challenged the Metropolitan Retail CEO, Khanyi Nzukuma to join him on 18 June 2015 for the SleepOut. Nzukuma has agreed and said he looks forward to participating and hopes the contributions pledged will go a long way in assisting the vulnerable youth who will benefit from this initiative.

“It is important to have all CSI champions working together in the upskilling of our country’s next generation – allowing them to take their rightful place in the economy,” concluded Kruger.
