Hollard Insurance and Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance (Tokio Marine), Japan’s oldest insurance company today announced a business relationship agreement to collaborate on and co-ordinate specific initiatives relevant for Japanese clients in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on risk and insurance requirements.
IVM Intersurer (“IVM”), which holds a significant investment in Hollard Insurance, has extended its global reach into West Africa following the acquisition of a majority stake in The Metropolitan Insurance Company (Met Insurance) in Ghana. IVM and Hollard will be supporting Met Insurance with the objectives of optimising Met Insurance’s operations in Ghana and growing market share.
Award-winning specialist long-term risk provider, Altrisk will be rebranded to become Hollard Life, effective 12 January 2015. The combined entity will represent Hollard for all individual Life risk as the specialists in the middle and affluent market within the group.
