Guardrisk invests to change the way it does business

29 April 2015 | Company News & Results | General | Herman Schoeman, Guardrisk

Guardrisk, in partnership with Genasys Technologies – an industry leading software development company – has installed Ski®, a state-of-the-art integrated commercial insurance and reinsurance system that will provide a single, integrated platform for Guardrisk products.

“Ski is going to change the way we do business; it’s quick (in terms of functional simplicity enhancing service delivery) and it ticks all the required regulatory and compliance boxes,” says Guardrisk MD, Herman Schoeman. The new system provides for better, faster and safer communication with all stakeholders, including brokers and policyholders.

“Since we launched the cell captive concept in 1993, Guardrisk has continually prided itself in being an industry leader and the investment that we’ve made in Ski® affirms our commitment to staying ahead of the pack,” says Schoeman.

The new system allows for integration with the web and various stakeholder applications. A key feature is the claims aggregate module, which has automated functional features to improve the administration and control of claims and underwriting. The often troublesome administration of deposit burn premium is also automated in Ski®.

The advent of Ski ® marks a new era in how underwriting and claims are handled at Guardrisk, eliminating delays and simplifying, and improving, the entire process. The company intends to make Ski® available to Guardrisk clients and brokers, as an alternative to their legacy systems, and regards it as a significant enabler for new clients and brokers.
