Effective March 11th, Eton Road Underwriting Managers (Pty) Limited, an authorised Financial Services Provider in South Africa (FSP No. 46055) with a Lloyd’s Open Market Correspondence (OMC) facility became Africa Risk Solutions South Africa (Pty) Limited.

Although popularly known by the name ERUM for several years, the official change is one of many initiatives now under way to refine the Company’s focus on operating in the South African and Sub-Saharan African Specialist Insurance and Reinsurance target markets.

Africa Risk Solutions South Africa (Pty) Limited aims to establish mutually beneficial long-term relationships by offering a flexible and responsible service to both Brokers and their clients. Africa Risk Solutions South Africa (Pty) Limited targets large Engineering risks, Construction and Development as well as and including Construction Guarantees and Marine risks in these areas. It insures large projects in totality and therefor aims to become a truly Pan African multi-risks solutions provider of choice to all major infrastructures.

The corporate headquarters for the company is located in Umhlanga, Durban and includes the office of the Managing Director and his team as well as key corporate support functions in Johannesburg.

The Managing Director of Africa Risk Solutions South Africa (Pty) Limited, Mr. Stephen Marnewick, tasked with the implementation of the business model and corporate structuring of the unique specialist proposition said: “Africa Risk Solutions South Africa is progressing well with its preparations. The announcement of the future brand is an important milestone and underscores that we are in the end phase of restructuring. Through this period of change we will continue to build strong, sustainable futures for our business, while placing the highest priority on the needs of our Brokers and their clients.”
