Clients of new financial services group, Vele Financial Services, had the opportunity to meet with the top management of the company at the company launch in Johannesburg on the last day of January.
The Vele Financial Services Group consists of VBS Bank, Vele Asset Managers, Bophelo Insurance Group, Vele Brokers, Vele Tracing and Bophelo Benefit Services.
Robert Madzonga, CEO of Vele Investments, told clients that Vele means what it says. “We are serious about corporate governance and doing business the right way and we look after our clients. This year, 2018, will be the year that we will make an announcement that will shock the country in terms of the growth. In a year’s time, we will not be talking about handling R40 billion, but about handling R300 billion.”
Vele Investments is the shareholder of the Vele Financial Services Group and focuses on value creation within transformation. Value creation is based on sustainable and objective orientated growth linked to collaborative transformation strategies. Vele identifies business and investment opportunities that allow for collaboration and partnership to meet South Africa’s transformation agenda.
Andile Ramavhunga, group CEO of Vele Financial Services Group, said Vele will compete for business and will win clients over with good service. “Everything is ready, but we will have to work hard. I want to be a partner to our clients. We can deliver a good service because we have good people with good qualifications working for us,” he said.
Investors, clients and potential clients, who attended the launch, all indicated that they are impressed with the new company. The quality of the management and direction indicated by the speakers, as well as the fact that Vele Financial Services Group is well capitalised and managed, instilled confidence in existing clients and illustrated to new and potential clients that Vele is ready for growth.
