BlackRock has had a client base in South Africa for more than 20 years, and through its Natural Resources, Emerging Markets and Global Equity teams, has been investing in South African companies for more than two decades. BlackRock is opening its South African office following conversations with local clients looking to diversify their offshore investments in active and passive strategies.
