Investec Asset Management strengthens private equity business

As part of the continuous growth of its private equity business, Investec Asset Management today announced the appointment of Nick Marsh as Associate Principal. Nick joins from LGV Capital in London where he was an investment director.

“We are delighted to welcome Nick to our team. We have built a strong pan-African private equity business over many years and we are confident that Nick’s experience will enhance our position in the market even more,” says Francois van der Spuy, Head of Private Markets at Investec Asset Management.

Marsh has built up more than 13 years’ experience in private equity and strategy consulting and has worked in a wide range of sectors and industries. Prior to LGV Capital, he was a manager at Bain & Company where he worked in London and South Africa.

Says Marsh: “I am excited to join the team at Investec Asset Management, who has a deservedly strong reputation. I believe the African continent offers very attractive opportunities for private equity investment and I look forward to being a part of the team at Investec Asset Management as they continue to capitalise on their strong position.”

Marsh graduated from Oxford University with an MEng, Economics and Management and will be based in London.
