Due to the rapid growth of its broker network and client base across South Africa, CIB Insurance Administrators (CIB) is rolling-out six new branches nationally in 2012. The first of these branches opened in Benoni on the East Rand in November 2011, with the next branch opening in Umhlanga, Kwazulu Natal in February 2012.

“We currently have over 1 000 brokers nationally and the establishment of new branches in key areas throughout the country is a natural progression for our brand. Through our increased footprint we will be able to provide greater broker service and direct access to our management in key territories,” says Jonjon Smit, Divisional Director of CIB.

Smit says the new regional branches will form part of CIB’s Marketing and Sales division and will be fully mandated, as well as have full support from the company’s head office in Bedfordview, Gauteng. “Each branch will be managed by a regional director with extensive experience in the South African and international insurance arenas.

“We also aim to evolve our short-term insurance portfolio with this expansion, which includes servicing, among others, personal, commercial, agricultural and engineering markets.”

He adds that each regional branch has been strategically positioned to maximise existing broker relationships, while also targeting new brokers in key emerging regions. “This expansion is in line with our vision to be the preferred choice for all professional brokers nationally as well as increase our brand presence throughout South Africa,” concludes Smit.
