Gareth Beaver, CEO of Centriq.
Centriq Insurance is proud to announce that the company have been awarded a Silver Achiever Award in the 2015 Deloitte Best Company to Work for Survey.
“The award recognizes the positive sentiment of our employees, rewarding their commitment to making Centriq a great place to work for,” explains Centriq CEO, Gareth Beaver, who is proud of the outcome of the survey.
Employees - Your biggest asset
In these tough economic times, it is not always easy to inspire and motivate employees to maintain a positive mind-set and to stay committed to achieving company goals.
“Long-term company growth is difficult to achieve without committed employees. If you truly care about your employees, they will truly care about you. And this is why we here at Centriq are passionate about providing our employees with a balanced platform to develop their skills and identify and improve their weaknesses and strengths. We want to guide, support, help and motivate our staff to be the best they can be on both a personal and professional level,” says Beaver.
Last year was the second year the insurer participated in the Survey, which runs throughout the year in three cycles from June to August; September to November, and February to April so as to provide participants with flexible entry options.
Companies can use the outcome of the survey as a tool to improve and strengthen the overall experience of their employees as employees are surveyed on the following:
- Company leadership
- Operational efficiency
- Employee Inclusion
- Relationship with Managers / Supervisors
- Fairness and Equity
- Remuneration
- Performance and Recognition
- Overall Job Satisfaction
- Learning and Development; and
- Values and Company Culture
“We regard the Deloitte Best Company to Work For as a credible survey that provides companies with additional insight into the world of their employees and will most definitely participate again,” notes Beaver.
A ripple effect
Centriq was not the only company being awarded for excellence in the financial services industry last year. Two of the company’s underwriting management partners have also received awards by consulting, research and risk management company PMR.africa in 2015: KEU underwriting managers have received a Diamond Arrow Award in the event liability category whilst Paladin took the same award home in the motor fleet category.
“When one invests in your employees, your partners and clients benefit in the sense that they can concentrate on what they do best, and this is another goal we are continuously striving to achieve,” concludes Beaver.
