Zurich launches Farmer’s Product in Botswana

Zurich Insurance Company Botswana, a leading global insurer, is pleased to announce the launch of its Farmers Insurance for commercial, emerging commercial and subsistence farmers.

Edwyn O’Neill, CEO of Zurich South Africa, said: “We are proud to introduce this into the market. Most farmers’ livelihood depends on the success of their farming operation and their ability to effectively manage their risk. We understand this and have developed a comprehensive commercial and personal farming insurance solution in one convenient package.”

The product provides insurance coverage for property, motor, livestock, workmen’s compensation, amongst others and can be adapted to meet the exact requirements of each customer.

Zurich Botswana’s CEO, Shiran Puvimanasinghe, said: “We are in a unique position in that we are able to leverage the capacity and expertise available within the Zurich Group and use this to provide our customers with tailored solutions that meet local needs.” Puvimanasinghe continues: “With our strong broker relationships and in-depth local expertise, we are able to provide customers with world class service without losing our local touch.”
