Zurich announces the successful placement of CHF 600 million senior debt

Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) today announced the successful placement of CHF 600 million of senior unsecured notes in three tranches.

The transaction consists of a CHF 150 million bond with a maturity of 12 years and an annual coupon of 1.50%, a CHF 250 million bond with a maturity of 6 years and an annual coupon of 0.625% and a CHF 200 million bond with a maturity of 23 months and a quarterly coupon of 3 month CHF Libor plus 0.16%.

These notes will be issued by Zurich Insurance Company Ltd under its "Euro Medium Term Note Programme". They were placed to retail and institutional investors in the Swiss Franc domestic market.

The transaction has been conducted to refinance outstanding senior debt.
