AIG launches new office in George
In line with its strategy to grow its South African business by penetrating new market segments and geographical areas, AIG has opened a satellite office in George, Western Cape.
“This new office will allow us to bring our international expertise and comprehensive value proposition to a part of the country where we have highlighted a need for more focus,” says Wayne Abraham, managing director: AIG South Africa. “We are targeting George as part of our drive to expand our market share in the consumer and small/ medium-sized enterprise sectors.”
The new branch will be headed up by Deirdre Viviers, who will report to the head of AIG’s Western Cape office, Martin Wilson.
“George is an important regional centre and will offer us the opportunity to build our presence in this area,” says Viviers. “I am looking forward to the challenge.”
Wayne notes that this new office is only the first as AIG looks to expand its business. He concludes. “Our strategy is to leverage our global strengths and value proposition into our local markets.”
