Absa to sell Custody and Trustee business

Absa Bank Limited (Absa) today announced that it has agreed to sell its Custody and Trustee business to Standard Chartered Bank.

Completion of the transaction, which is not considered material to the Group, is subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions customary for a transaction of this nature, with completion not expected before H2 2013.
