The Postgraduate Diploma in Risk management is aimed at graduates who wish to pursue a career as a risk manager in the business, banking, investment, insurance or agricultural sector.

The qualification enables one to identify, assess and prioritize risks and find ways of mitigating the probability and/or severity that risks may have on the achievement of the objectives of a firm.

Admission requirement: an appropriate Bachelor's Degree, or an appropriate Advanced Diploma with an average of 60% or more.

NQF level: 8

Curriculum:

The qualification consists of the following five compulsory modules:

  • Operational Risk Management (RSK4801)
  • Governance, Risk and Compliance Management (RSK4802)
  • Risk Financing (RSK4803)
  • Credit Risk Management (RSK4804)
  • Market Risk Management (RSK4805)

Credits:

5 modules x 24 credits each = 120 credits

The qualification can be completed in one year.
