Job Specifications:

Business Development:
Support proposal and tendering where required
Create and/or assist with new business proposal, documentation and presentation.

Broking Services:

Review the clients debtors age analysis on a monthly basis. Highlight to the Senior Account Executive/Account Executive and/or client the debtors which are overdue and are trading over the insured credit limit
Advise/Assist the Senior Account Executive/Account Executive and/or client to notify the relevant Credit Insurer of any potential bad debts and ensure the policy terms and conditions are followed accordingly
Advise / Assist the Senior Account Executive/Account Executive and/or client with credit application request to the relevant Credit Insurer
Provide regular feedback to the Senior Account Executive/Account Executive and/or client in terms of outstanding applications and assist with financial statement requests from the debtors, if required by the client
Prepare monthly declarations and ensure that the declarations are timeously submitted to the relevant Insurer
Obtain written approval from the client stating that the declaration figures are in order before the declaration is submitted to the Credit Insurer
Ensure the declarations, the debtors age analysis and any other pertinent matters are discussed at the monthly meetings with the client
Assist with developing new methods of presenting the risk profile of a client’s debtors book
Assist the Senior Account Executive/Account Executive or client to renew or make changes to insurance policy(ies)
Assist with preparation and consolidation of declaration documents.
File all relevant documentation related to client portfolio to ensure up to date record keeping
Raising of debits or credits and ensure all premiums and fees are received or refunded (as the case may require) and are up to date
Issuing of policy wordings and endorsements as well as client summaries.
Prepare and assist with client presentations
Carry out general administrative functions relative to the position.

Claims Management:
Assist with claims by providing pertinent information regarding cover

Client Management:
Handle client queries on behalf of Senior Account Executive/Account Executive

Compliance Management:
Comply with all statutory and company regulations to protect clients and business interests
Adhere to JLT operating procedures; contribute to successful audit score

People, learning and development:
Actively monitor own performance and meet individual targets as set out in performance scorecard
Acquire and maintain required level of product and regulatory knowledge as appropriate to the role
Completion of annual CPD requirements

Requirements:

Required technical knowledge: 
Good knowledge of trade credit insurance products, markets and claims processing
Computer literate - Microsoft office suite. Skilled in proving information on short-term insurance products, good report writing skills. Good negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills

Required technical skills: 
Strong client-relationship skills, including written and oral communication

Essential qualifications: 
Matric 
Must meet Fit and Proper requirements for Representatives 
FAIS (RE5), 
Registered with FSB

Required job related experience: 
Minimum 5 years’ insurance brokerage and/or underwriting experience with a focus on Trade Credit risks.
