Meet the 2016 apprentices

19 February 2016 | Short Term Insurance | The Insurance Apprentice | Myra Knoesen

Having wrapped up the filming process on 15 January over a five day period, it is with much anticipation and excitement to announce that the first episode of The Insurance Apprentice 2016 has finally been released.

Viewers can look forward to a seven part series as they delve into the world of the apprentices and follow them on their journey to be crowned winner of The Insurance Apprentice 2016.

Following the day-to-day workings of the apprentices in action as they complete an array of interesting insurance related tasks, different parts of the industry are covered and the apprentices are challenged to do things they have never done before.

Setting the scene

Upon arrival at the FNB Conference and Learning Centre, the apprentices were treated to awesome goody bags stacked with selfie sticks, hard drives, headphones and more, thanks to Aon South Africa. This set the tone for the scene.

Made up and ready, thanks to Smashbox South Africa, the apprentices huddled for their very first camera encounters which would mark their journeys going forward.

Meet the apprentices

Like last year’s series, viewers are in for a treat as the second series takes on a different ball game with tantalising twists and mind blowing turns. Eight apprentices are dropped down to seven, then six, and so the competition gets stiff.

In the first episode of The Insurance Apprentice 2016, sponsored by CN&CO, you will get a chance to meet Alicia Narainsamy, Andre Brooks, Celina Bhima, Chris Caalsen, Karabo Kopeka, Priya Govender, Richard Cunliffe and Unathi Ntengo for the very first time as they offer a short insight into their strategies and game plan for the competition and why they believe they should be crowned the winner of The Insurance Apprentice 2016.

With fellow Judge Vuyo Lee, Group Executive; Brand and Corporate Affairs at MMI Holdings and other guest judges, Theo Pauw, Independent Chairman of Price Forbes, once again, takes on the rigourous task of judging the apprentices throughout the competition.

In the first episode, Pauw shares his thoughts on The Insurance Apprentice 2016, what he is looking for, the challenges ahead and the eight participants.
