It’s about time…

22 September 2022 Rianet Whitehead

The Insurance Apprentice is set to take heed, once again, as entries for the 2023 edition are almost closing. We remind those who have not applied yet to hurry and get those applications in, as entries close on 30 September. That leaves potential candidates with just over a week left.

Just hear me out
Elimination round 1 (Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg) is a GOLDEN opportunity to get a feel for the whole experience… the beauty of the process is that you can really ‘test the water’ by applying and going through round one.

You will get a feel for what it’s all about, meet industry people of various levels and do a mini task on the day. If you really feel that you need more time to prepare, you can tell us… and you can try again next year. But going through round one is an excellent way to measure yourself and feel some of the excitement and pressure.

Once entries close

Applications close on 30 September, and the regional elimination rounds, sponsored by Aon South Africa, will take place on the following dates:

  • Durban 26 October;
  • Cape Town 28 October; and
  • Johannesburg 31 October

After the elimination rounds in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, the panellists will identify 30 contestants who will then take part in the final elimination round at Discovery in November. The top 10 contestants for series nine of The Insurance Apprentice will be chosen on this day.

Filming will take place from 23 to 27 January 2023. The series will be aired via the FAnews and The Insurance Apprentice websites, YouTube and Facebook.

Challenge yourself and apply

If you think you have what it takes to be the next Insurance Apprentice, then why not take a chance and apply. If you are 35 or younger by the time of filming, have been in the short-term insurance industry for more than four years – visit https://www.theinsuranceapprentice.co.za/application-form/, fill out your application form and submit it. You can read what previous contestants and winners had to say by clicking here: Life after TIA… just a few testimonies.

We also urge managers and companies to identify the people they believe can make it and push them to apply… sometimes people just want to be recognised and the need to know that their employer supports them. Let’s get all those young talented professionals to apply.

If we have not convinced you yet, we want to remind you that on top of getting your brand out there, learning more about the industry and going through an accelerated growth experience there are the awesome prizes to be won…we will reveal more detail on this soon!
