New Tracker product just what the broker ordered

An innovative new vehicle cover product has hit the market and is tailored specifically for brokers to sell to personal lines clients in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape. Tracker In Touch is a feature-rich product that allows the end-user to personally track their vehicle online via their computer, tablet or smart phone.

An industry first for these regions, the product keeps loved ones in constant contact at the push of a button, offering brokers another string to their bow when discussing all things Tracker with their clients.

“In Touch is Tracker’s response to requests from brokers seeking a wider range of vehicle tracking products to offer clients,” according to Daniel Weston, Tracker’s National Sales Manager for their Broker Channel.

“It was also driven by the fact that in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape the insurer requirements for tracking devices have changed in the last few years. It’s the right time to bring something new to market.”

The internet or smart phone accessed map view is extremely easy to use and offers both a generic map view of the vehicle’s whereabouts plus the ability to overlay a ‘Google’ style satellite image of the vehicle’s location to further assist with the understanding of exactly where the customer’s vehicle is situated.

“We factored out the basic cost of stolen vehicle recovery and left behind a product crammed with connected features including a number of valuable road-side and emergency services benefits”, adds Weston.

Via a discretely installed assist button, some of the features include basic medical and accident assistance, help with changing a flat tyre or battery and even includes a service to assist the driver when they are lost.

The vehicle can also be located via a simple SMS for customers not able to immediately access the Internet. The end-user can also pull a number of useful reports, which includes a handy trip log editor for tax and SARS purposes.

Should the client’s personal circumstances change and a need for stolen vehicle recovery services arises, a simple bolt-on upgrade facility is available to all In Touch customers.
