Ctrack unveils personal tracking device

CTRACK ICE

“Introducing Ctrack ICE A cellphone and personal tracking device all in one that calls the Ctrack support centre who then contacts emergency services and lets them know your exact GPS location at the flick of the SOS switch. Its limited dialling, the ability to track the user online and the prevention of internet access make the Ctrack ICE perfect for keeping your family safe”

Ctrack’s latest product places the emphasis squarely on the safety and security of the individual. The product – called Ctrack ICE (In Case of Emergency) – is a personal tracking and communications solution that allows the person in possession of the device to instantly alert emergency services in the event of a crisis.

“The moment the SOS button is pressed, a voice call is instantly connected through to the Ctrack Support Centre. The current GPS position of the Ctrack ICE unit is also sent instantly. From there armed response or medical services can be quickly dispatched, depending on the nature of the emergency,” states Mark Rousseau, managing director of Ctrack SA.

In addition, Ctrack ICE also allows the position of the person carrying the device to be continually monitored.

“The device also functions as a mobile GPS tracking device,” states Mark. “This makes it ideally suited for the active sports person training alone or being tracked whilst racing. By giving these devices to cyclists and runners, for example, one is able to track their movement, while also providing them with an opportunity to instantly alert emergency services and effective deployment of resources if an emergency occurs.”

The Ctrack ICE weighs only 62.5g, measures only 90mm in height, 46mm in width and a depth of 17.5mm making it compact and comfortable to carry.

From R150.00 per month, Ctrack ICE – is available from selected Nashua Mobile outlets and Ctrack fitment centres and across the country. terms and conditions apply

Another industry that can benefit greatly from this product is the transport sector. While many operators already have tracking devices on their trucks, Ctrack ICE now also allows them to monitor the location of their drivers, not only the vehicles. So, if something should happen and the driver is separated from the vehicle, he or she can now instantly send out a distress signal that alerts the operator of their location.

In addition to its abilities to send an alert if an emergency occurs and to track the movement of an individual, it can also be furnished with four preselected quick dial, contacts numbers that can be dialled from the unit. Numbers 1-3 can be pre-programmed with any number, number 4, will be utilized for the Cell C 112 emergency number for additional emergency services.
